On December 31st, the Wormhole Foundation stated on social media that the FEG token issue is not related to Wormhole. All Wormhole contracts are completely unaffected by this issue and have nothing to do with it.
BlockBeats previously reported that on December 29th, the multi chain DeFi protocol FEG (Feed Every Gorilla) announced on the X platform that FEGrox is actively investigating illegal transactions and has requested additional support from PeckShield to identify the root cause. Preliminary investigations indicate that Wormhole bridging may have a vulnerability, which has been previously audited. It should be emphasized that the SmartDeFi contract code does not appear to have been compromised, and the SmartDeFi protocol has been suspended as a preventive measure. Currently, projects built on this protocol are still secure.
